Over my (extended by snow) holiday break from work I had a great deal of time to sit around and listen to music under alternative circumstances. Consequentially I am rescinding my previous assertions that Neutral Milk Hotel's album "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" sucks. In fact it is kind of awesome but requires more attention than I gave it the first time around having dismissed it as derivative post-Jeff Buckley indie rock. In fact, it predates or was conterminous with the early parts of that scene and is basically awesome.
